It has been announced that Wolverhampton-based retailer and distributor Tile Choice is to cease trading with immediate effect. A Notice of Intention to appoint administrators was posted during the second week of January.
The company was founded in 1991 and was a longstanding TTA member and winner of a TTA Award in both 2020 and 2021.
It had 18 stores across the Midlands and a 30,000sq ft distribution centre in Ettingshall. It is reported that the business had over 100 staff and that all the jobs are now at risk.
“It is always sad when a company ceases trading,” says Kay Porter, CEO of TTA. “This is especially true in the case of a company like Tile Choice, which was well-known in the industry and which had been a supportive member of TTA for many years. We hope a buyer can be found for the business and we send our best wishes to all those who are affected by this situation.”
