EUROPEAN CERAMICS FEDERATION (CET) ELECTS NEW PRESIDENT

Graziano Verdi, Vice President of Confindustria Ceramica and CEO of the Italcer Group, has been elected President of CET (the European Ceramic Tile Manufacturers Federation) for the next 3 years. He will lead the Federation until 2027.

The election was announced in Brussels, Belgium during the 2024 European Ceramic Days (ECD) from 2nd to 4th December 2024, where hundreds of industry professionals, technicians, commissioners and MEPs, members of the European Parliament Ceramic Forum (EPCF), discussed the contents and objectives of the next mandate and the role that the ceramic industry wants to play in the international context.

Graziano Verdi, new CET President, commented: ‘It is with great honour and responsibility that I take on the role of President of the European Ceramics Federation. I would like to thank everyone for the trust placed in me and for the commitment that each of you demonstrates every day in promoting our industry. Together, we will continue to support innovation, the growth of the ceramic sector in Europe and sustainability in a realistic way. I am convinced that, by collaborating with determination and passion, we will reach even more ambitious goals, strengthening our role.’

Graziano Verdi, a top manager in the design and luxury sector, was CEO and President of the Iris-Graniti Fiandre group for a long time. He then led Technogym and the Belgian multinational Koramic. In 2017, together with Alberto Forchielli of the Mindful Capital Partners fund, he founded Italcer Group, today among the first Italian industrial groups in the high-end ceramic sector. Italcer Group includes: La Fabbrica Ceramiche-AVA, Elios Ceramica, Devon&Devon, Ceramica Rondine, Equipe Cerámicas, Ceramica Fondovalle and Terratinta Ceramiche with a turnover of over 340 million in 2023 and 1,100 employees. Graziano Verdi is also an Independent Director of Pelliconi SpA, a multinational world leader in bottling caps.
