Congratulations to Craven Dunnill Jackfield Ltd for winning the Best Commercial Project – Large (over 250m²) 2024 TTA Award for their project Croydon Colonnade, London!
A major new pedestrian thoroughfare in Croydon, South London, runs underneath a new skyscraper and is formed entirely out of large, three-dimensional porcelain tiles. Craven Dunnill Jackfield manufactured the tiles using traditional methods of production combined with new technologies. The result is over 12 columns of 3D porcelain exterior cladding, 7 metres high, that will technically perform for over 50 years and is awarded The Guardian/Observer’s Top 5 Architecture Projects of 2023 accolade.
