VERONA GROUP CELEBRATES 25 YEARS OF INNOVATION

Published 21st May 2026 / Featured

Verona Group proudly celebrates 25 years in business, marking a significant milestone in its continued growth and success. Founded in 2001 as The Mosaic Tile Company, the business has evolved into the UK’s leading distributor of tiles, mosaics, wall panels, flooring and outdoor porcelain. As it reaches this landmark anniversary, Verona reflects on its journey and the changing market, highlighting how placing the customer at the heart of its operations has been key to its success.

As a true heritage brand, the company has naturally seen shifts within the UK tile industry, one of the most noticeable to many will be the products and materials. Where mosaics and natural stone such as travertine, marble and natural split face tiles once dominated, today’s customers increasingly desire porcelain and ceramic. Thanks to high-definition inkjet printing which has revolutionised tile design, porcelain and ceramics are a cost-effective and practical alternative that offer an incredibly realistic appearance. As such, Verona’s offering has adapted to suit market shifts and now its range is predominantly made up of porcelain and ceramic, supported by some natural stone tiles, as well as stone plastic composite (SPC) flooring and waterproof wall panels.

As with changes in tile materials, trends have influenced customer demands. Today, tile designs lean towards natural styles, with marble, stone, and onyx leading the way.

Furthermore, sizes have dramatically increased, with 60 x 120cm and even larger slab formats becoming increasingly popular.

By working with leading manufacturers across the globe, Verona works year-round to source high-quality products that tick every requirement for its customers. For example, its most recent product launch, Slate Mix, brings an elegant blend of both slate and marble to four on-trend colourways in a range of sizes up to 1 x 1m.

Products and innovation aren’t the only way Verona keeps its customers at the heart of what it does. The company has invested significantly into its service, with a large, friendly and knowledgeable sales support team, as well as a dedicated network of representatives across the UK for localised support. In addition, Verona’s online trade portal has been enhanced to make the purchasing journey smoother. Merchandising and marketing support are also key considerations for customers, and the business proudly helps here too. Products are launched with best-in-class supporting materials, from high-quality inspirational imagery and product literature to tile sample handboards, and impressive POS and display stands too. This is all to help Verona’s customers provide an engaging experience for their end customers.

As Verona Group celebrates this 25-year milestone, the business remains firmly focused on the future. With continued investment in product innovation underpinned by its first-class service, Verona is well positioned to build on its strong presence and support its customers for decades to come. This anniversary not only marks a proud moment in the company’s history, but also the beginning of its next phase of growth.

‘Reaching 25 years in business is a milestone we are incredibly proud of, and it’s one that wouldn’t have been possible without the trust and loyalty of our customers,’ says Katy Black, Marketing Director at Verona.

‘From our beginnings as The Mosaic Tile Company to becoming a leading UK distributor, our journey has always been shaped by listening to our customers and evolving alongside their needs. As we look ahead, we remain committed to delivering innovative products, outstanding service, and long-term value to our partners across the UK.’
