Reed Harris opens striking London design studio

Leading tile specialist Reed Harris has started an exciting new chapter in the company’s rich history with the opening of a striking London design studio and office.

Aimed at architects and specifiers, the new Bagley’s Lane studio is perfectly placed adjacent to Chelsea Harbour. Featuring an abundance of natural light, which shows off the carefully selected range of stone, porcelain, ceramic and mosaic tiles on display to great effect, the new studio is a must-visit destination for professionals.

As well as being inspired by the products, visitors are also able to receive advice on ancillary products from Reed Harris’s expert team, and information on its renowned Bespoke Design Service, which can be used to create unlimited design possibilities by using water jet and CNC technology to cut natural stone and porcelain.

The new studio replaces Reed Harris’s Carnwath Road site, where the company, which was founded in 1925 by the grandfather of sales director James Reed, had had a presence since the early 1960s. The relocation is a direct result of the development of the ‘Super Sewer’ or 15-mile Thames Tideway Tunnel, as it is more formally known.

The move to Bagley’s Lane comes at an exciting time for Reed Harris and coincides with the merger of the company’s retail and commercial divisions. Previously known as Reed Harris Architectural, the company’s trade arm has rebranded to Reed Harris and shares the same distinctive monochrome logo.

Reed Harris’s sales director James Reed says: “We’re delighted to have opened the doors to our new Bagley’s Lane studio. As well as an incredible product selection, we also offer the commercial market our unique, renowned Bespoke Design Service, which we look forward to introducing to new, as well as existing, customers.”
