TILES TAKE THE SPOTLIGHT FOR NATIONAL TILE DAY 2026

Published 9th September 2026 / Events

National Tile Day on 8th September was celebrated throughout the tiling sector, and in its second year continued to develop its impact. The Tile Association wishes to thank everyone who took part.

Tile shops throughout the UK ordered balloons and bunting from TTA to enable displays that capture attention and spark conversation. TTA spread the word even further to encourage local visitors to come to your stores, and support the industry to benefit even more.

Regional magazines from the south to north of England and Scotland have encouraged audiences to go out to their tile shops and to consider how tile design can uplift their homes and businesses, in addition to the leading news platforms for the trade.

On social media, manufacturers and distributors also reflected on the history and heritage of tiles, from commemorating longstanding histories to sharing factory insights. TTA members and the wider public have shown the significant impact that tiling businesses have to their local communities and to the individuals dedicated to the tiling profession.

Looking ahead, the industry’s commitment to training is hard at work to ensure the future of tiling. From refurbishing training premises to promoting new training webinars, the tiling sector proves it is investing in its own success and the importance of a skilled workforce. Individual highlights of specific tilers also showcased some of the massive talent, skill and craftsmanship in the tiling industry.

Throughout, companies shone a light on tiles and the creativity, craftsmanship and trade networks that bring them to life, with a shared appreciation of ceramic tiles for their beauty, versatility and practicality.

We look forward to celebrating again next year!
