A sales manager with a wealth of experience and ambition is the latest addition to the Palace Chemicals Ltd team.

James Broadhead, 38, from Sheffield, has been appointed area sales manager for Yorkshire and the North East. James will travel between counties selling Palace Chemicals brands to tile shops and builders merchants.

James joins the Liverpool based company following eight years at tiling tools company QEP in Burton on Trent, where he was technical training manager and managed the Topps Tiles account.

He says: “I have worked in the industry for about ten years and sold tools before that for around five years.

“This job appealed to me because the company has a lot of ambition. I met with some of the team from Palace Chemicals; they are all very ambitious about what they want the company to do and how they want to do it. They are all really knowledgeable and it’s a great team to be part of.”

James’ job will see him cover all areas from Sheffield in South Yorkshire to Newcastle upon Tyne. He hopes his experience and contacts in the tile industry will benefit the company.

He added: “I see this as a new challenge and I like a challenge. These products are not something I have sold before so I am getting to know all the different types of adhesives and grouts.”

Simon Clough, sales director of Palace Chemicals, says: “We are delighted to welcome James to the team. His years of experience and contacts in the industry will be of great benefit to the company, and we look forward to seeing James build the customer base in Yorkshire and the North East.”
