CTD has continued the evolution of its trade store experience with the opening of a new Newcastle branch, combining its largest in-store tile display with an extensive range of essential products, leading brands and strong stock availability.
The tile specialist officially opened the new store at 1A Airport Industrial Estate, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, on Thursday 10th September, following the introduction of its new trade-focused store concept in Minworth earlier this year.
Designed to provide a ‘one-stop traders’ shop’, the Newcastle branch puts the needs of professional tilers and tradespeople at the heart of its layout and product offering.
Customers can access a comprehensive selection of essential tiling products and leading brands alongside CTD’s largest range of tiles displayed in-store.
The tile offer spans wall and floor applications, XL and XXL formats, outdoor products and shower panels, giving professional customers access to solutions for a broad range of domestic, commercial and housebuilding projects.
The concept is centred on making the purchasing process simpler for busy tradespeople, combining extensive choice with depth of stock and knowledgeable in-store support.
Newcastle was selected because of the area’s established trade and housebuilder market and its longstanding connection with CTD. The brand has a strong history in the North East and the new location provides an opportunity to reconnect with a market in which CTD has traditionally enjoyed significant recognition among professional customers.
The launch was marked by a dedicated trade morning featuring suppliers exhibiting and providing demonstrations alongside giveaways, food and refreshments. New registered trade customers were also offered 10% off as part of the opening activity.

The Newcastle branch follows the opening of CTD Minworth in May, where the business introduced a more trade-led format designed around product accessibility, convenience and the needs of professional customers.
