TTA has launched three new business services for members – so there are more good reasons than ever to be a TTA member. Firstly, the Association has gone into partnership with Staffordshire County Council and Powys County Council, to form a Primary Authority for tiling. This scheme is only available to TTA members, and enables them to obtain assured advice provided by competent officers with the relevant skills and experience in product safety, fair trading and weights & measures. Early access to regulatory advice enables member businesses to ensure their work is compliant at all times. When the Primary Authority issues new advice or guidance on a particular area, TTA members will hear about it first. Only TTA members will be eligible to join the scheme, enabling them to take advantage of the benefits on offer, including being able to provide a strong level of reassurance to customers regarding trading standards issues.
Secondly TTA Business Shield has been launched via TTA member Stallard Kane Associates, specialists in health and safety, training and HR issues. Through this scheme TTA members can access unlimited health & safety advice, as well as unlimited HR and employment law advice. Business Shield also incorporates a free two-hour compliance ‘Health Check’. This comprises an H&S documentation review, H&S procedural audit and review, HR & employment law procedural review, HR & employment law audit including documentation review.
Finally TTA’s insurance broker, COBRA, is offering an exclusive insurance product for members. This is a new Insurance-Backed Guarantee, which enables contractors who take out the policy to offer a high level of reassurance to their customers regarding quality of workmanship, if the contractor ceases trading for any reason. This special insurance cover is in addition to a range of standard insurance products which are available from COBRA.
All these services are only available to TTA members, so please call 0300 365 8453 or email membership@tile.org.uk to find out more about joining TTA.
