TTA Race Day 2026 took place on 8th September at Leicester Racecourse, bringing the industry together in honour of National Tile Day, and was a success right out of the gate. Sponsored by ExpoTile, the event brought approximately 90 guests together for a relaxed day of racing and networking.
After a cloudy start, the weather cleared for an enjoyable day of horse racing. As representatives of The Tile Association and the sponsor of ExpoTile, TTA CEO Kay Porter and NoMorePly Boarding Systems Area Sales Manager Jason Sayers were invited into the parade ring as guest paddock judges – that is, they assessed the horses up close before the start of a race. Mapei (UK) Ltd, Quality Freight Services Ltd and W.B. Simpson & Sons (Midlands) also sponsored races on the day and sent representatives to inspect the horses as paddock judges.
The centrally located premises was ideally situated for guests to enjoy a VIP racing experience in a private room, including a pleasant two-course hot fork buffet. Coinciding with National Tile Day, bunting and balloons marked the event as part of a wider celebration of the tiling sector, championing tiling professionals for their brilliant work year-round and offering the opportunity to further strengthen trade networks. The Lighthouse Charity was also in attendance, adding a welcome fundraising element to the day’s affairs.
