In September, The Tile Association visited Cersaie to see leading brands and decision makers in the Italian tile industry.
The Tile Association would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Confindustria Ceramica for their kind invitation.
Cersaie 2024 received over 95,000 attendees with almost 50% international visitors. TTA members were impressed with the array of exhibitors across fifteen fully occupied pavilions. 606 companies exhibited, of which 332 from the ceramic tile sector, 91 from bathroom furnishings, 183 belonging to the sectors of installation, raw materials, new surfaces, service activities.
The hub of Cersaie was ‘The Square’, a 1,000 sqm space including an auditorium for conferences, a bookshop dedicated to design, a station for a leading radio station and a lounge, where the meetings of the 15th edition of the cultural programme ‘building, dwelling, thinking’ took place, along with many other events. Designed by architect Dario Curatolo, the layout rediscovers the concept of the ‘square‘ of Bologna as a place for meeting, exchanging information and conviviality.
CEO Kay Porter and Technical & Training Manager Martin Pouncey were pleased to take part in an informative meeting with European, Canadian and Brazilian tiling associations – sharing knowledge, best practices and experiences.
A highlight of the event was the Awards ceremony on 26th September, hosted in the fantastic venue Palazzo Bevilacqua Ariosti. Congratulations to all the winners.
The next edition of Cersaie will be held in Bologna from 22nd to 26th September 2025. Find more information from Cersaie’s website.
