Verona has launched a series of brand boosting initiatives as it celebrates two decades in the tile industry. The company, which began by selling stone and mosaics to independent customers, is now claimed to be the UK’s largest tile distributor, supplying ceramic and porcelain tiles across various markets.
Led by Adrian Hinchliffe, the business has pursued a successful growth strategy and won a number of accolades and awards along the way, something which could not have been achieved without the support of Verona’s team and customers.
To say thank you to everyone involved in its success story, Verona has launched a special anniversary video to mark the occasion. A video designed to take viewers on the journey of Verona, from humble beginnings to multi-million pound business, Adrian and the team share plans for the company’s future and provide a personal insight into the business which respects and values its people. Between a network of loyal customers and a dedicated, experienced workforce, it’s clear to see that it’s the people that make Verona the company it is today.
Always one to pride itself on high staff retention, Verona is quick to recognise those who perform well. The business chooses to promote from within, offering staff the opportunity to progress up the career ladder as they gain valuable insight into the tile industry and diversify their own skillset. Alongside the new video, Verona has launched a n umber of new products and has more planned. The company has unveiled two new patterned tile collections to commemorate the anniversary, designed by one of Verona’s own. Created by Rosie Preston, from the marketing team, Mondrian and Vincent reflect current consumer demand for patterned tiles and demonstrate Verona’s commitment to supporting its team in pursuing their dreams.
Verona’s marketing director, Katy Black, comments: “We are thrilled to be able to bring these two stunning designs to market and to see Rosie create something that reflects her love of design and interiors. Our team works closely with manufacturers to design tiles but this is a new whole new adventure for us, celebrating our love of tiles at our 20 year turning point.
“Building on the success of our ClickLux SPC luxury vinyl collection, we are also expanding our flooring range to include a wider range of materials and styles, including on-trend patterns, tile designs and water resistant laminate. We are also responding to the demand for outdoor porcelain with our recently updated Al Fresco collection and Loft 90×90 20mm additions, with new outdoor ranges for 2022 already in development.”
Founded as The Mosaic Tile Company, Verona has seen a number of changes throughout the years, but its core values remain paramount to its success. As the business evolves, success comes through established relationships with overseas suppliers and an ongoing commitment to its growing network of UK customers.
Katy continues: “The last 18 months have brought many challenges for our industry from Brexit and COVID to unprecedented shipping costs and availability issues, but I’m confident that with continued hard work and determination we will weather the storm and I’m looking forward to exciting times ahead.”
