The winning mosaic design in an international competition sponsored by Bostik and Artaic Innovative Mosaic was unveiled at MGM Grand Las Vegas Wet Republic recently.
“Delta Waves” – the grand-prize winning 20x8ft backlit mosaic masterpiece – was permanently installed poolside in June.
For months, mosaic enthusiasts worldwide submitted mosaic mural designs on the theme “The Essence of Las Vegas”. The grand prizewinner, designer Nicole Faith Kohri, had her creation “Delta Waves” unveiled in front of 1,500 hospitality design professionals as a 20′ x 8′ backlit mosaic tile mural… permanently installed poolside at MGM Grand’s “Wet Republic.”
The overall marketing campaign, which included Bostik being a major sponsor of both HD Expo and the AIA Convention, was incredibly successful in many ways.
Chris Eichman, Bostik’s Marketing Communications Manager, said: “I am extremely pleased with the results of this integrated campaign centered around the mosaic mural contest. This program wouldn’t have been possible without the support and collaboration of Artaic and the total professionalism contributed by the great team from MGM. Our latest video captures the excitement of this one-of-a kind marketing project, which was another integral part of our global thrust to build Bostik brand recognition.
“The opportunity to have the winning masterpiece installed prominently… and, permanently… at the MGM Grand is an incredible coup for everyone involved in this campaign. I’m especially happy for Nicole Kohri, this year’s winner, and the mass recognition she has received as a result.”
