The usage statistics and verification insights from CSCS Smart Check from Q1 and Q2 have now been published, counting 16.8m total smart check scans and 825k unique cards verified. In this period, there was an average of 92,825 scans per day.
CSCS Smart Check has now been used to carry out more than 11 million card checks across 440,000 individual CSCS cards. Site teams are increasingly relying on the tool to confirm a worker’s card status at the point of access, rather than checking physical cards manually.
Skilled and Advanced Skilled cardholders account for a substantial share of that activity, making up 42% of all scans recorded in the period.
The system’s reach now extends well beyond CSCS’s own channels. Some 140 employers are actively using the Smart Check API to plug card verification directly into their existing site access and induction platforms, while 27 IT partners are integrated with the system, building it into the software tools already used across the sector.
