Congratulations to Viva Tiling for receiving Highly Commended for the Best Domestic Project 2026 TTA Award for the project Domestic Hammam, London!
Viva Tiling was sub-contracted to install 20mm glass mosaics in a hammam. Smaller rooms can be tricky as they can have a lot of details in a compact area. The external corners needed to be finished with full tesserae. The main light (encapsulated LED) runs down the centre of the ceiling, which is quite unusual, and the added curves where the ceiling joins the walls increased complexity. The ceiling was the main challenge which this project overcame, with a remarkable finish.
Viva Tiling is run by Sharon Taylor, a female sole trader based in London who often tiles nationwide. She specialises in mosaic installations after having trained at Bisazza in Vicenza, Italy, and has developed a reputation for working on steam rooms, spa baths, ice fountains and similar environments.
