Topps Group has acquired the Fired Earth brand, IP, website and an estimated £2.5 million of stock for a consideration of £3 million in November 2025, adding a complementary premium brand to the Group. This decision has saved the Oxford-based brand, registered in 1983, following its appointment of joint administrators Dane O’Hara and Neil Bennett from insolvency firm Leonard Curtis on 31st October.
The news comes on the back of a trading update for the 52-week period ended 27th September 2025 which announced record-breaking turnover for Topps Group of approximately £265 million of adjusted sales, up 6.8% year-on-year.
CEO Alex Jensen has assumed full responsibility on 8th December, taking over from the former CEO Rob Parker as he retired from the business. Alex was most recently CEO of National Express UK, Ireland & Germany and previously had an extensive career at BP plc, where she led the transformation of its retail and B2B fleet services. Alex has been a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Sustainability Committee at Inchcape plc and a Trustee for Mind, the mental health charity.
Caroline Browne has also been appointed as CFO, joining in spring 2026. She is currently the Group Finance & Investor Relations Director at Watches of Switzerland Group plc. Previous roles include Group Financial Controller at Next Plc and senior finance positions at Boots.
